Bend the plate inside the heat pad several times until the liquid in the pad changes and you can feel it heat up. Attention! Do not place the heat pad directly on the skin.
Reusing the heat pad
Fill a saucepan with space for the heat pad with water and bring it to a boil. Wrap the heat pad with a thin cloth and carefully place it in the boiling water. The heat pad must not come into direct contact with the saucepan. After approx. 10-15 minutes, the contents of the heat pad are clear and fluid again. Carefully take the heat pad out of the water. If there are still solid particles in the pillow or if the pillow becomes solid again, give it a short shake and put it in the boiling water for a few more minutes. Danger! NEVER use the heating pad immediately after boiling, as there is a risk of burns.
